• Conrad Lass

    Principal

Con Lass brings nearly 30 years of private and public sector experience to the team at OGR. Raised on a farm in rural Wyoming, Lass learned the importance of values like hard work, dependability, and trust. These are the values he brings to his clients at OGR.

Lass started his career in Washington with former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson, who served, at that time, as the Republican Whip. He then worked on the legislative staff of Senator Craig Thomas (R-WY) handling energy, environment, and agriculture issues. During the George W. Bush Administration, Con served as chief of staff to the Director of the Bureau of Land Management in the Department of the Interior.

Since Lass first stepped foot in the Capitol, he has built a far-reaching network of relationships that he utilizes to the benefit of OGR’s clients. Con is regularly called upon by Fortune 500 companies, coalitions and influential trade associations to provide strategic counsel and political strategy on important legislative matters including energy, environment, trade, defense and transportation issues.

His connections within the Senate Republican Conference run deep. Whether it’s an offensive approach to achieving a positive legislative outcome or putting together a defensive plan to address a challenging situation directly, Lass puts his policy and political expertise, along with his “can-do” attitude, to work.

Prior to joining OGR, Lass led the federal relations team at the American Petroleum Institute, one of the largest trade associations in Washington. In that capacity, he and his team developed lobbying strategies and tactics and helped advance advocacy objectives that supported all aspects of the organization.

Lass is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and holds a bachelor of science degree in
communications. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Congressional Award Foundation and served on the board of the University of Wyoming National Ambassadors.
