Jerome Murray has 20 years of government experience serving in senior-level positions in the offices of three House Members and in the Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee, led at the time by former Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.  Interspersing his service on Capitol Hill with government relations and communications work in the private sector, Jerome has an unparalleled combination of relationships and hands-on experience in the legislative process, coupled with a deep knowledge of policy issues crossing many industry sectors.

Jerome has vast experience working for clients ranging from retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, collegiate sports and higher education organizations to childcare providers, testing and diagnostic companies, health care providers, global food producers and processors, and transportation and logistics companies.

On the Hill, Jerome served most recently as chief of staff to Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-USVI). Before that, he was legislative director for Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-NC) who serves as Chief Deputy Whip.  During his time with Rep. Butterfield and Rep. As a Hill staffer, and as a government relations professional, Jerome has developed strong relationships with Members and staff on key Congressional committees including the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, the House Committee on Ways and Means, the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.

In the private sector, Jerome was director for U.S. policy and government relations at one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.  His portfolio included all facets of the company’s operations including manufacturing and supply chain issues, trade, and FDA and regulatory issues.  Jerome was also the company’s liaison to industry trade associations including The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). Earlier in his career, Jerome was the senior manager for events & attractions at the National Basketball Association. He also served as a member of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Corporate Advisory Council during his time working in the private sector.

Jerome grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts and received a bachelor of science degree from Boston University’s College of Communication, and a master of government administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. He interned for his hometown Member of Congress and current chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA), for a summer while in college.  Jerome lives with his wife and two children in Northern Virginia.
