    Principal

    Gordon Taylor brings more than 25 years of Capitol Hill and government affairs experience to OGR. For the past fourteen years, he has represented an impressive list of domestic and international companies and trade associations before the legislative and executive branches of government.

    Leveraging his knowledge of the legislative process and strong political relationships, Mr. Taylor devises and executes advocacy campaigns, prepares clients for Congressional hearings and investigations, and counsels clients on effective strategies to manage legislative and political risk. His government affairs experience includes projects on mergers and acquisitions, CFIUS transactions and crisis communications.

    Prior to joining OGR, Mr. Taylor held senior Congressional staff positions that covered the political spectrum. He served as the chief of staff for a centrist Democratic Member of the House Energy & Commerce Committee where he worked on a range of policy issues including energy, health care and telecommunications and was actively involved in the early days of the Blue Dog and New Democrat Coalitions. He started his career on Capitol Hill working as a legislative advisor and press secretary for a Democratic Congressman who switched parties following the 1994 elections and served on the House Ways & Means Committee. In addition to his communications role in that office, Mr. Taylor was also the lead tax and trade staffer.

    Mr. Taylor received his undergraduate degree from Emory University and his law degree from George Washington University.
